Stepchild Revision History:
---------------------------

V1.03a BETA Revision 6

- Fixed problem with StepCHiLD causing Plogue Bidule to consume CPU cycles. I haven't witnessed
excessive cpu consumption in other hosts, but I would still suggest using this version.

- Keys have been swapped again with a suggestion from Kerrydan. I battled with the orientation of
the keys for a while. The more I use his suggested method, the more I liked it.. so it's changed.

LEFT CLICK - Places notes which are in step mode (greyish notes).
[SHIFT]LEFT CLICK - Places notes which will break an adjacent link and start a new note (dark green).
[CTRL]LEFT CLICK - Places notes which will link to adjacent notes on notegrid (light green).
[ALT]LEFT CLICK - Will place NO notes.. but will select that bank, so velocities can be adjusted
                      without accidentaly entering notes.

V1.03a BETA Revision 5 (yeah, I've been busy! :O) )

- Yet another release! Like the one before, this one is not compatable with previous
versions.. even v1.03a BETA is not compatable! There were more changes to the data
  structures.

- Rob (Experiment4) made a suggestion with regards to entering note information in link
mode.. I have taken those idea and incorporated them because they make a lot of sense.
So, the mode buttons are now gone. Everything can now be handled with modifier keys
and the mouse. My descriptions sound terrible, but in use it is incredibly easy!

LEFT CLICK - Places notes which are in step mode (greyish notes).
[CTRL]LEFT CLICK - Places notes which will break an adjacent link and start a new note (dark green).
[ALT]LEFT CLICK - Places notes which will link to adjacent notes on notegrid (light green).
[SHIFT]LEFT CLICK - Will place NO notes.. but will select that bank, so velocities can be adjusted
                      without accidentaly entering notes.

Don't read this part.. it will probably confuse you. hahah! Ok.. ready? Technically the 'step mode'
notes and the 'start link' notes are one in the same.. why? because a 'step mode' note is linkable.
However, I created a 'start link' mode so when looking at the notegrid visually.. it will generally
  be easier to understand.

V1.03a BETA

- WARNING! This version is not compatible with previous versions. If you open
a project which contained Stepchild, this version will reset everything! Blank
slate status! Sorry to have to do that to ya, but that's the price ya gotta pay! :O)

- This time I'm not going to jump ahead of myself. I am releasing this as
a beta to get it in the hands of folks to test. I don't think there are any
significant bugs, but if you find something.. I float around K-v-R!

- This should resolve the last step dropping notes in Plogue and FL4.

- This also should correct a timing error which shifted everything by roughly
  a 1/16th during playback.

- Adjacent notes in banks may now be 'linked' which effectively gives you the
ability to play long notes (for basslines for example).

- Triggering patterns by midi can now be turned off.

- CTRL+mouseclick octave or midi channel box (leftclick or rightclick depending on
what you want it to do) will now increment/deincrement Octaves or midi Channels
in all banks.. useful for quickly changing octaves/midi ch's without having to change
  each one independently for example.

- it's late, and that's all I can think of right now! :O) Remember, it's a beta! :^P
If you are using Tracktion, please use the latest version.

v1.03

- WoW! I am extremely happy! a little bug discovered by some Tracktioneers
turns out to fix a whole load of problems with other hosts. Tracktion now
works 100% as far as I can tell with Plogue Bidule and FL Studio 4. I just
need someone to test it with SX. Everything works! (I think... hahahaha)

v1.02f

- Stepchild has been running pretty smoothly.. so the changes here are purely
cosmetic. Stepchild has now become "Tracktionized" so it blends nicely with
the Tracktion environment. :O) Oh yeah, one additional thing.. the dll has
now been compressed with upx from 1.9M to 340k!

v1.02e

- This is yet another attempt to cure hanging notes. This version has a slight
change in it's internal structure. Presets from former versions WILL NOT work!
Sorry about that, but it's the price that has to be payed for what will hopefully
be a version cured of the problem. My fingers are crossed that this will be the
final fix. I've tried Iblit, PlatiCZ, and Triangle2.. which have all reportedly
hung notes. and so far no hangs in my testing.

v1.02d

- Hopefully this improves hanging notes when switching patterns. It's not
perfected, however.. it did cure it for the most part on my system. I've also
noticed if a particular note is hanging.. is you shift the note a little then put
it back to normal, the note will stop hanging (I dunno what's up with that one
cause it's got me stumped as they are completely unrelated).

v1.02c

- Fixed patternselect via midi bug that was introduced with v1.02b

v1.02b

- My last revision did not fix the hanging notes like I had expected. This version
is a minor fix as it *should* resolve hanging notes when stopping playback. I'm
still working on the hanging notes when switching patterns issue.

v1.02a
- This should address problems with hanging notes both when stoping playback and
  when switching patterns.

v1.02

- All drag and drop bugs fixed! :O) - drag and drop still doesn't support shifted notes :O(
- Added receiveVstTimeInfo to VST cando's (vst plug relateD)
- Shift notes are properly adjusted based on samplerate
- Very very very slightly altered color scheme (too much blue! more grey!)

v1.01

- Fixed coloring which resutlted in note boxes not being displayed..
- Fixed User defined Velocity preset slider so it utilizes full value
  (stupid error on my part).

v1.00

- My first VST Plugin!
